How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is one the most important features in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers the chance to transform Porygon2 into Porygon, and to progress in their Pokedex.
This item is rare but can be found by spinning a Photo Disc at a Pokestop, or as a prize at special occasions. But what does this item actually do?
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to provide them with an additional benefit. They can also be found as drops in the game dropped by enemies, or gathered from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade weapons or armor through an upgrade slot.

The multiplier of experience for an upgraded item is increased by adding organic components, while mechanical components decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will increase the amount of experience you acquire and allow you to move on to the next level.
The upgrade process is complicated It's crucial to understand how it works in order to benefit the most from your upgrades. The system keeps a running total of the item you're upgrading.
