20 Things You Must Be Educated About Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade and aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is generally beneficial but it can also have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, it will boost its base defense while gloves and belts improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult areas. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you can get out of each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as possible.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock each fountain, you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of adversaries in most cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to the potions.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades will vary based on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you use it again or break the bottle within which it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item). The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly important, such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other  item upgrade  s, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer useful which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they will not be replacing soon (for instance an earring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also consider their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
